Mentoring Program
While raising funds for cancer patients with desperate financial needs, students in our programs gain practical business experience and opportunities for college scholarships.
Some states require high school students to accumulate a minimum number of community service hours to graduate high school. Scholarship programs are available that include or wholly base qualification on community service.
In the early stages of our charity, students joined HUGS and KISSES to help with production of our button bracelets. Soon we were discussing among many other business topics: design techniques for mass appeal, inventory and materials management, distribution and supply chain efficiency, cost accounting, and more. As more local business owners discovered what we were doing, they offered their help to impart their business experience.
To understand it better, consider that we wouldn’t ask a high school student to be responsible for the integrity of our charity’s accounting. However, a local accountant can instruct the student on how to use the accounting software, enter data systematically, pull reports, analyze P & L, etc. In this way we give students hands-on experience and — if the student grasps and applies the business concepts — the students can participate in the decision-making process of the accounting department.
We have similar mentoring programs for production, distribution, design, marketing, human resources, and all other departments.
Whether you are a local professional seeking to mentor students, or if you are a student looking for experience and community service, we want to hear from you.
We believe that true GIVING is unsolcited. We hope that you will reach out to us if you genuinely wish to give back to your community. We reply promptly to all COMMENTS.

Hello,
I am a student at Drexel University in Philadelphia, PA. Where is your PA office located at? If it is near my campus, I would like to get involved in the mentoring program. Also, I am member of various organizations on campus that sponsor volunteer events. I would be more than happy to spread the word to these organizations if provided with more information.
Please contact me when you can.
Thank you!

Thanks,

Hi Alisha,
Please call 561-819-9471 to discuss further. We’re currently working with students in a couple of colleges who are starting Hugs and Kisses Clubs on their campuses. There are many options for getting involved and the timing is great.
