My sister, Lisa, was diagnosed with colon cancer. She had an emergency surgery to remove the whole right side of her colon. They could not get all of the cancer and now has to go through chemotherapy. lisa also has many other medical issues (very anemic and needs a hysterecomy and still limps from a previous car accident 5 years ago)) and is in dire need of medical coverage. She was a homemaker 4 months ago and is now seperated from her husband whom can’t afford to pay for her medical bills. They verily kept food on the table and the rent paid. Lisa now stays with her parents and is still in the process of recovering. We have tried to get medicaid, called Memorial Hospital Health Link, Peak Vista Community Health Center and a few other programs here in Colorado Springs that say they could help…., but nothing. I am afraid that if we don’t find somebody soon to help her- Lisa could die without medical attention. Our parents are on a fixed income and can not afford to pay her bills.

So as you can see we are desperate to find somebody that can help Lisa be a survivor of cancer. Please, if there is anything you can do or refer me to an organization in this area that can help a person that is between a rock and a hard place i would surely appreciate it.

Anxioulsy awaiting your response. Thank you. Teresa, a hopeful sister
